Humboldt County is most famous for the Redwood Tree groves nestled in and around the Redwood National Park and other famous California Redwood State Parks within the county. The County also borders the Pacific Ocean and therefore has numerous seaside towns including Arcata, Eureka, Trinidad and Shelter Cove. There are a number of historical buildings in Humboldt County left over from the lucrative logging years. Victorian style houses are popular attractions including the entire town of Ferndale. Carson Mansion is the most popular attraction in Eureka.
